What Kind Of Bats Live In Michigan

There are 9 bat species in the state of Michigan. All of these bats feed on insects. They are all called micro-bats and use echolocation to search for their food.

  • Hoary Bat – (Lasiurus cinereus)
It is not common to find this type of Bat in homes. Its preference is to live in trees.
  • Tri-Colored Bat – (Perimyotis subflavus)

Professional Bat Exclusion

Do you have bats in your attic and shutters? If so the bats have entered through a small opening in a gable or ridge vent. Is a bat flying inside your living space, if so it could have entered from a chimney? They find small openings to make their homes to protect their colonies from predators.

At A.B.S. Wildlife & Control we are the professionals you need. We get the bats out with our humane and effective techniques. One way points of entry are installed that allows for the bats to exit and not return.

After their removal, we offer odor removal and control services. We deodorize and sanitize the areas that have been contaminated with bat guano (bat droppings) and infestations. Histoplasmosis is a lung infection you can get from exposure to bat guano.
